Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my digit teaching portfolio! Within this website you will find a collection of documents and photos that represent who I am as an educator. Using the tabs across the top, please find my resume and references along with my philosophy of education. Under Teaching Practice you will find authentic samples of work that I am proud to have implemented in classrooms along with student examples and assessment tools.

I am a Canadian trained teacher from Ottawa, Ontario, but have been teaching in Thailand since 2015. Currently I am the head of the primary department at Sithammarat Suksa English Programme, where I coordinate a department of 11 teachers and 240 students. I am also a grade 2 homeroom teacher. In my classroom I aim to create an environment that is conducive to learning through inquiry, respect, motivation and support. As I state in my philosophy, I believe every child is capable of learning so long as they are immersed in the right environment. I look forward to working with you in the future!

“The fact is that given the challenges we face, education doesn't need to be reformed -- it needs to be transformed. The key to this transformation is not to standardize education, but to personalize it, to build achievement on discovering the individual talents of each child, to put students in an environment where they want to learn and where they can naturally discover their true passions.”
